nWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated ASHA-certified, NYS-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our private school team in a highly supportive, interdisciplinary environment. Our mission is to significantly increase student independence by integrating functional communication skills into daily routines. nWhat You'll Do: Focus on Functional Communication

- ** Direct Impact: ** Work alongside classroom teachers, support services, and ABA instructors in a collaborative push-in model . n
- ** AAC Expertise: ** Develop and implement communication goals using a range of methods, including static visuals, high-tech devices (e.g., iPads) , and a modified total communication approach. n
- ** Goal Areas: ** Facilitate skills across receptive/expressive language, pragmatics, motor speech, oral-sensory-motor skills, and feeding. n
- ** Small Caseloads: ** Manage a small caseload to ensure quality therapy time, material development, and clear student progress. n
- ** Documentation: ** Lead annual testing, bi-annual report writing, and IEP development; monitor student progress via weekly data sheets. n
- ** Collaboration: ** Implement behavior plans with support from our ABA team. n

- ** Hours: ** Full-time hours are Monday – Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM. It is a 12-month program with paid school vacations. n
- ** Salary: ** Competitive, based on years of experience and supervisory history (details for new CCC-SLPs available upon request). n
- ** Professional Growth: ** Opportunities to earn CEUs are offered, training in AAC methods n
Required Qualifications

- ** Certification: ** Salary listed is for CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA. CFY candidates can apply but must have previous experience with students on the Autism Spectrum. n
- ** License: ** Must be NYS Licensed . n
- ** Credential: ** Must hold the TSSLD certification (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities). n
Highly Beneficial Skills

- Experience working with students with an ASD diagnosis. n
- Knowledge of basic sign language. n
- Knowledge of programming AAC apps. n
- Knowledge of oral-sensory-motor exercises and feeding. n
