About the Role

Regional Care Network (RCN) is hiring a School Nurse for a newly opened District 75 site in the Bronx. District 75 serves students with a wide range of physical, developmental, and medical needs. Care at this site centers on oral medication administration, metered-dose inhaler (MDI) treatments, and PRN medications. Because the site is new, you'll help set up a well-organized health office and establish smooth routines with the school team from day one.

What You'll Do

• Administer oral medications, MDI/inhaler treatments, and PRN medications per physician orders and NYC DOE Office of School Health protocols
• Set up and maintain MARs, student health files, and medication storage for a new site
• Assess and respond to student illness, injury, and acute respiratory symptoms
• Communicate with parents/guardians, teachers, paraprofessionals, and administration about student health needs
• Support 504/IEP-related health accommodations as needed
• Follow emergency response procedures, including escalation to EMS when appropriate

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN license
• Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; school, pediatric, or special-needs experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable with respiratory care (asthma, MDI with spacer) and PRN protocols
• Ability to pass NYC DOE fingerprinting/background clearance and health screening
• Organized self-starter who can build routines at a new site
