This position is not a one-on-one student assignment, but rather the chance to manage the overall health needs of the entire student body. Your presence will make a difference every single day, supporting both students and staff as you respond to health concerns, administer medication, and educate the school community on wellness practices. With the school year underway, we are moving quickly to schedule interviews and are targeting a start date of October 5th.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Colorado
- Previous experience in K-12 or school-based nursing highly preferred
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience handling common childhood illnesses, injuries, and medication administration
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Oversee daily health office activities and respond to student and staff health needs
- Develop and implement individualized health plans as needed
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Administer medications and first aid
- Communicate with families and staff regarding student health matters
- Promote wellness initiatives and preventive health education
The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week.
