This full-time, onsite contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through the academic year, running from now until late May 2027. Collaborate with educators and families as a School Psychologist, playing a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) School Psychologist Certificate is required
- Proficiency conducting psychological assessments, interpreting data, and recommending action plans for students spanning various age groups
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and across multiple school sites (specific assignments to be determined)
- Comprehensive understanding of state and federal special education laws and processes
- Must meet additional credentialing, including drug screening and district fingerprint background check
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting evaluations and assessments for students as referred
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring intervention plans in line with IEP requirements and best practices
- Facilitating collaboration between staff, families, and community partners to foster supportive educational solutions
- Providing crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services as needed
- Maintaining accurate and timely case documentation in accordance with established protocols
The position offers a consistent daytime schedule: Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week, seven-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school calendar. Placement at specific campuses and caseload details will be determined to best match your skills and district needs.
