Qualifications/Degree Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Current and valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist in Michigan
  • Experience administering and interpreting psychoeducational assessments
  • Strong understanding of behavioral, academic, and social-emotional interventions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify student strengths and needs
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to create and implement effective intervention plans
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students
  • Support the development and implementation of IEPs, Section 504 plans, and behavior intervention strategies
  • Deliver professional development and consultation for school staff regarding mental health, learning, and behavior
  • Maintain detailed and confidential student records according to state and federal guidelines
