Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This full-time position begins August 25 and continues through June 18, serving an elementary-level caseload of approximately 50-60 students. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week in a collaborative school environment, helping students achieve their best academically and emotionally. Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology
- Valid or eligible School Psychologist certification/license in Michigan
- Experience with elementary student populations preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation abilities
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of IEP processes, special education eligibility, and MTSS/RTI frameworks
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Provide individual and group counseling as needed
- Deliver crisis intervention and behavioral support
- Consult on academic and behavioral interventions, developing strategies tailored to students’ needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school and state guidelines
