This full-time, contract opportunity is available immediately, covering a medical leave with the potential to extend through the school year. You'll collaborate closely with a fellow psychologist and engage with a dedicated special education program, empowering young learners both academically and emotionally.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in K-5 settings, preferably within special education environments
- Proficiency with assessment, counseling, and student intervention strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide psychoeducational assessments and develop individualized plans for students
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as needed
- Support intervention strategies for students within special education initiatives, including BEST/STRIVE programs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to address student needs and monitor progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional insight and recommendations
- Contribute to a positive school climate by supporting social-emotional learning
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:50 AM 2:50 PM
- Wednesday: 7:50 AM 3:20 PM
