As a dedicated school psychologist, you’ll play a crucial role in fostering the well-being and academic success of students by providing comprehensive psychological services within a collaborative educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid School Psychologist certification or license (in Michigan or eligible for reciprocity)
• Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field
• Experience with psychological testing, assessments, and IEP development
• Strong understanding of federal and state regulations for special education
• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to work well independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret findings
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop tailored interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings, provide input for eligibility decisions, and help monitor progress
• Offer crisis intervention and counseling for students as needed
• Contribute to the development of positive behavioral support plans and school-wide mental health initiatives
• Provide consultative support to teachers regarding classroom strategies and accommodations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
