Recess Program Coordinator/CoachWe're looking for an energetic, dependable Recess Program Coordinator/Coach to join our team at elementary school sites across San Francisco. You'll be one of three coordinators working together to deliver a structured, fun, and inclusive recess experience for students. This is a hands-on role — you'll be out on the yard every day leading games, managing activity stations, and creating a positive environment where kids feel safe, active, and engaged.ResponsibilitiesLead and facilitate organized games and physical activities during school recess periodsSupervise students on the yard and ensure a safe, respectful environmentSet up and break down activity equipment at the start and end of each sessionEncourage participation across all skill levels and promote inclusive playManage student behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and communicate concerns to school staff as neededCoordinate with your fellow coaches to ensure smooth daily operationsTrack attendance and complete daily reports documenting activities, participation, incidents, and any behavioral notesMaintain accurate and timely records to support program oversight and communication with school partnersRepresent the program professionally in all interactions with students, school staff, and parentsQualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageExperience working with elementary-age children (school, camp, youth sports, or similar setting)Strong communication and classroom/group management skillsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsReliable, punctual, and comfortable working independentlyCPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain prior to start dateCleared through DOJ/FBI background check (required for all school-based staff)Schedule & CompensationPart-time, school-year positionHours vary by siteHourly rate: $24/hrPaid sick leave provided in accordance with California lawTo Apply Send your resume and a brief note about your experience working with kids to Compensation: $24.00 per hourWith over 3.5 million registrations in communities across the country, i9 Sports is the nation's largest multi-sport provider focused solely on high-quality, community-based youth sports programs.
