School Nurse

Make a meaningful impact district-wide as a school nurse with a full-time, contract opportunity supporting students’ health and well-being. In this position, you’ll contribute to a positive learning environment, serve as a vital resource for immunization compliance and health needs, and help keep schools safe and well-prepared. Your experience and professionalism will be valued as you guide school communities through health protocols and respond proactively to daily needs.

Qualifications:

• Current New Jersey School Nursing license (RN)
• Prior school-based nursing experience required
• Solid knowledge of immunization protocols and regulations
• Comfortable overseeing health services for entire school buildings and managing diverse caseloads
• Reliable transportation and a reasonable commute to the area
• Ability to provide proof of TB test, physical exam, and complete fingerprinting for both agency and district onboarding
• Open to both male and female candidates; male candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Support student health by administering first aid, medications, and regular care
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure immunization compliance
• Serve as a health resource xzgxqkn for students, staff, and families
• Oversee daily health office operations across multiple school sites
• Respond to health emergencies and coordinate with school staff as needed
• Foster a caring, inclusive environment for all students
