VACANCY: SCHOOL NURSE

LOCATION: DARIEN HIGH SCHOOL

EFFECTIVE: August 2026

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Connecticut Registered Nurse License
• School Nurse experience preferred
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications
• BSN Preferred

DUTIES

• Provide direct nursing care to students for illness, injury, and chronic conditions
• Maintain student health records and ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and district policies
• Lead the DHS Medical Emergency Response Team and maintain AEDs
• Provide health education to students and annual state-mandated health training to DHS staff
• Communicate and collaborate with parents/guardians and DHS staff to address student health concerns
• Such other duties as assigned
