We’re currently seeking a full-time, in-person School Nurse to support a school in Fairfield County, CT for the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 12/23/2026 (May extend)
- Location: Fairfield, CT
- New Canaan, CT, 37.5-40 Hours per Week

Qualifications:
- Active CNA or LPN license.
- Ability to provide consistent, dedicated 1:1 support in a school setting.
- Comfortable supporting a student who may require wheelchair support and close monitoring throughout the day.
- Willingness and ability to ride the bus with the student to and from school.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 health support for a high school medically fragile student across the school day.
- Accompany the student during transportation to and from school.
- Track the student’s tolerance for activity and respond promptly when signs of fatigue are reported or observed.
- Support safe mobility by staying with the student and assisting as needed when transitioning between a walker and a wheelchair.
- When the student is absent or leaves early, assist with coverage in the school clinic, medically fragile classroom, or other assigned setting per supervisor direction.
