Make an immediate impact as a bilingual Spanish-speaking school counselor, supporting student mental health across multiple school sites during the academic year. This contract opportunity centers on Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) and is ideal for passionate clinicians looking to empower youth through direct, on-site engagement. Your expertise will provide critical support for students from early childhood through transition age, working districtwide in a dynamic and diverse urban setting.
What You'll Bring:
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (non-negotiable; interviews conducted in both languages)
- An active Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) number-must be fully licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) or registered associate (AMFT, APCC, ASW) actively accruing hours under supervision for full licensure.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, clinical psychology, or a related field.
- At least 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (for licensure path clinicians).
- Successful completion of the California Law & Ethics Exam, and clinical licensing exam as applicable.
- Ability and willingness to provide two supervisor references after interview.
- Ability to pass Live Scan fingerprinting background check.
- Commitment to working exclusively on-site across up to three school locations as an itinerant support professional.
- Deliver evidence-based mental health services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to coordinate interventions.
- Maintain compliance with IEPs and federal/state guidelines for ERMHS.
- Support a diverse student population as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and communication for caseload accountability.
