New Milford Public Schools has an exciting vacancy for an excellent school counselor (1.0 FTE). Position start date August 19, 2026, with student start date August 24, 2026. Position: School Counselor, 1.00 FTE New Milford High School. New Milford Public Schools serves approximately 3,500 students from prekindergarten through 12th grade with the support of 645 staff, including 355 certified staff, providing a comprehensive education focused on academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. The district includes two elementary schools, an intermediate school, Schaghticoke Middle School and New Milford High School, all dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The district also values strong partnerships between educators, parents, and the community to enhance student success.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a valid and current Connecticut State Certificate in above subject. Possesses a degree from an accredited college or university. Experience as a school counselor at the high school level is a plus. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
