School Counselor Long-Term Substitute for Maternity Leave
Chester Academy is seeking a long-term substitute school counselor from (Sept-Dec). Located in Chester, NH, Chester Academy is a PreK 8 public school serving approximately 500 students. Our school is known for its strong sense of community, dedicated staff, and commitment to student success.
Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in related field
• School Counselor, School/Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor preferred
• Experience working with schools, in school settings, or with school-age students
• NH Educator Certification as a School Counselor (0040), School Social Worker (0049) or Statement of Eligibility

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other staff to support students' academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs
• Serve as a member of the school's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) team to identify student needs, develop interventions, and monitor progress
• Provide classroom guidance lessons and support schoolwide social-emotional learning and Tier I mental health initiatives
• Provide short-term individual and small-group counseling to help students develop social-emotional, behavioral, and coping skills
• Participate as a member of the school's crisis response team and assist with crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain appropriate records and student confidentiality in accordance with district policy and applicable state and federal laws
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal

Salary:
Per CEA Contract - $47,710 - $87,525 per year
