School Counselor (9-12)
Title: School Counselor Grades (9-12)
The School Counselor is responsible for providing a comprehensive developmental school counseling program that supports students in the areas of academic achievement, college and career readiness, and social/emotional development. The counselor collaborates with administrators, teachers, parents/guardians, and community agencies to promote student success and well-being. Responsibilities include assisting students with academic planning, post-secondary and career planning, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, scheduling, and serving as a student advocate. The School Counselor also helps students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to meet and exceed the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS).
Qualifications: Valid New Jersey School Counselor Certificate with the appropriate endorsement Bilingual (preferred)
