The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking a full or part-time school counselor to provide counseling services to students with and without disabilities for the school year.
Duties would include the completion of social developmental studies, student assessments, and implementation of individual/group counseling. The school counselor would also assist in writing IEP goals for students with counseling needs. Training will be provided, if needed, on IEP writing. Minimal travel. A $2000 per year stipend is offered to those with a National Board Certification. Board paid TRS and single health care coverage. Pay begins at the MS+45 level for all counselors! $3,000 sign-on bonus and $1,500 retention bonus every 3 years! Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educators Licensure in School Counseling is preferred, but a LCP or LCPC will be considered. Tuition reimbursement is available for courses towards ISBE certification.
