Role Description This is a part-time, on-site School Bus Driver role based in Grabill, IN. The School Bus Driver safely transports students in the Amish community to and from school, while following traffic laws and company safety policies. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining a clean and orderly bus, and driving the same dedicated route each day. The driver communicates clearly and respectfully with students, school staff, and leadership, and provides courteous service to all riders. The role also involves learning basic route paperwork and participating in required training and safety meetings.

What We Offer:

Competitive pay — Experience (Years with CDL)

Just starting= $22/hr

1-2 years= $24/hr

2-3 years = $25/hr

3-5 years = $26/hr

5-9 years = $28/hr

10+ years = $30/hr

Guaranteed 4-hour minimum route pay per day

Typical Route Times:

AM Routes: 6:00 AM – 8:30 AM

PM Routes: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Qualifications

• Strong Truck Driving skills with a focus on safe operation of school buses.
• Should possess good Defensive Driving skills to anticipate and respond to road and traffic conditions.
• Effective Communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Customer Service skills to provide a respectful, supportive experience for all riders.
• Must have a valid CDL Class B (or ability to obtain one) with appropriate endorsements for school bus operation.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage student behavior in a fair and professional manner.
• Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and participate in ongoing training and certification updates.
• Previous school bus or commercial driving experience is beneficial but not required.
