School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Eclectic, Alabama

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• A collaborative approach to working with students, educators, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities using current tools and practices
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with student needs and goals
• Provide direct therapy, intervention, and support to students with a variety of communication disorders
• Track progress, document sessions, and prepare reports as required by the district
• Consult with teachers to integrate SLP strategies into the classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families to offer guidance and resources for student success
• Remain current on best practices and industry standards for school-based SLPs
