The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center is seeking a School Based Health Center Attending Physician/Adolescent Medicine Faculty. This role involves providing and overseeing medical services and coordinating day-to-day operations in school-based health facilities, ensuring high-quality, comprehensive, integrated, and confidential care for young people at no cost. The physician will also contribute to adolescent medicine faculty activities, including teaching and research, aligning with Mount Sinai's commitment to clinical care, specialized training, and advocacy.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including obtaining history, conducting physical exams, formulating diagnoses, and developing treatment plans
- Assess and document patient response to treatment and interventions, and provide health education and anticipatory guidance
- Ensure timely and accurate charting and coding of all patient encounters in accordance with billing compliance guidelines
- Attend mandated educational programs and maintain all licenses, registrations, and certifications
- Act as a patient advocate and participate in ongoing peer review and quality improvement activities
- Respond to health and mental health emergencies in the school building and participate in school liaison activities
- Track and maintain inventory of medications and vaccines, including ordering and managing expired items
- Serve as Adolescent Medicine inpatient consult service attending up to 3 weeks annually (when school is not in session)
Compensation
- Compensation range from $170,000 to $190,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
- The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits
Shift & Schedule
- Work at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center when school is not in session
- Work at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center on selected Saturdays
Requirements
- MD Degree with Board Eligible/Certification in Pediatrics or Family Medicine or Adolescent Medicine

- NYS license
