Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential support to students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) across several school sites near Independence, MO. This role runs from August 24th through November 20th, covering a leave and ensuring continuity of care for students at various elementary, middle, and high school campuses.
You'll take charge of your own daily schedule with oversight and guidance at the beginning of the assignment to help organize your caseload and ensure that all assigned students receive services each week. Expect a caseload of approximately 32 direct students, equaling around 800 minutes per week. The work schedule is full-time, typically from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with 7.5-hour days.
Qualifications:

  • Licensed and certified as a COTA in Missouri
  • Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to self-manage a multi-campus caseload
  • Collaborative spirit and effective communication abilities
  • Passion for helping students reach their fullest potential through occupational therapy support
