Role Overview
Glendale Unified School District is seeking dedicated Behavior Technicians to support students requiring behavioral, social, and academic assistance throughout the school day. This is a school-based position ideal for individuals interested in ABA support , special education, or pursuing a long-term career in education or behavioral health.
You will work directly with students, collaborate with teachers and school teams, and help maintain a structured, positive learning environment for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Key Responsibilities

Behavior intervention — Implement individualized behavior plans under the guidance of a BCBA or supervising clinician.

Student engagement — Support students in staying on task, participating in class, and building independence.

Behavior data collection — Record accurate, real-time data on student behavior and skill acquisition.

Classroom collaboration — Work closely with teachers, aides, and school staff to ensure consistency across environments.

Crisis prevention — Utilize de-escalation strategies and follow safety protocols when challenging behaviors arise.

IEP implementation — Support accommodations and behavior goals outlined in student plans.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (some districts may prefer related coursework).

Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral needs preferred.

Strong communication, patience, and professionalism.

Ability to follow structured behavior plans and collect accurate data.

Reliability and consistency in a school-based environment.

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred

Current CPR if applicable

TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
