Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring Paraprofessionals for the upcoming school year in Fall River. Openings are available at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Responsibilities:

    n
  • n

    Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs

    n
    • n
  • n

    Assist students with autism and developmental disabilities

    n
    • n
  • n

    Provide classroom and 1:1 support

    n
    • n
  • n

    Work collaboratively with teachers and special education staff

    n

Qualifications:

    n
  • n

    High school diploma required

    n
    • n
  • n

    Experience working with children or special needs populations preferred

    n
    • n
  • n

    Strong communication and teamwork skills

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements:

    High School diploma or equivalent required

  • n

    Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice

  • n

    Current CPR if applicable

    n

  • n

    TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • n

    Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • n

    Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • n

    Must be at least 18 years of age
