School Adjustment Counselor / School Counselor

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
A dedicated School Adjustment Counselor / School Counselor is needed to support a K-12 charter school in the Metro-Boston area for the academic year and beyond. This is a full-time, onsite role offering a collaborative team environment and the opportunity to provide essential counseling services to students with special education needs.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students
• Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings
• Attend weekly team meetings and collaborate with school staff
• Assist with safety and risk assessments as needed
• Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and external providers
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for student records

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
• Active licensure required (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, or appropriate school counseling certification)
• Strong writing, documentation, and organizational skills preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable presenting in IEP meetings
• Professional, energetic, and student-focused approach

• 40-hour work week with a typical school-day schedule
• Peer supervision and ongoing support from the Counseling Department
• Opportunity to work with a collaborative and well-established clinical team
