School Adjustment Counselor / School Counselor

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
A dedicated School Adjustment Counselor / School Counselor is needed to support a K-12 charter school in the Metro-Boston area for the academic year and beyond. This is a full-time, onsite role offering a collaborative team environment and the opportunity to provide essential counseling services to students with special education needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students
- Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings
- Attend weekly team meetings and collaborate with school staff
- Assist with safety and risk assessments as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and external providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for student records
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Active licensure required (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, or appropriate school counseling certification)
- Strong writing, documentation, and organizational skills preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable presenting in IEP meetings
- Professional, energetic, and student-focused approach
- 40-hour work week with a typical school-day schedule
- Peer supervision and ongoing support from the Counseling Department
- Opportunity to work with a collaborative and well-established clinical team
