Phelps Elementary School Vacancy School Year School Adjustment Counselor *Maintain a caseload of IEP, 504, and general education students *Provide individual and group therapeutic counseling to students *Meet with students and families to address social and emotional issues that impact education *Consult with teachers and staff to provide social-emotional learning within the classroom *Provide crisis intervention services *Participate in the IEP and/or 504 process *Collaborate with the Principal, School Psychologist, and Behaviorist as part of the Behavior Support Team *Work as a team member with assistant principal for crisis and grade level support *Serve as a liaison between DCF and the school *Make referrals to mental health and other community resources *Massachusetts DESE School Adjustment Counselor licensure required *LMHC/LICSW licensure preferred
