Job Description

As a Scheduling Specialist, you will be one of the first points of contact for our patients, helping create a positive experience. You'll play an important role in connecting patients with the care they need by scheduling appointments, coordinating provider schedules, answering questions, and ensuring every interaction is handled with professionalism and compassion.

Primary Duties

  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments efficiently and accurately.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to patient portal messages, and assist with questions.
  • Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Support front office operations and cross-train to assist other clerical positions as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year previous experience working in medical facility preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, confidential medical environment.
  • Professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Candidates will be cross-trained to assist other front office departments, providing opportunities to broaden their knowledge, strengthen their skills, and grow within our practice.

Work Hours

The regular work hours for this position are 7:30am - 4:30pm. The schedule is subject to change with production demands. Perform Saturday clinic hours per rotation as needed.
