Job TitleJob Responsibilities:Responsible for operating a computer-controlled saw to accurately cut lumber according to production specifications. This role also assists with assembling wood roof and floor trusses using pre-cut materials, truss plates, and assembly equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Job Duties:•Operate a computer-controlled saw to cut lumber according to work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.•Review production schedules and verify material dimensions before cutting.•Monitor equipment performance and ensure accurate, high-quality cuts while following all safety procedures.•Assemble wood roof and floor trusses according to design specifications and production schedules.•Position and align pre-cut lumber on assembly tables or jigs.•Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and automated equipment to secure truss plates.•Perform quality inspections to ensure trusses meet accuracy and structural integrity standards.•Study blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine dimensions, layouts, and material requirements.•Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, pencils, chalk, and measuring tools as needed.•Shape or trim materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws when required.Skills and Qualifications:•Previous manufacturing, construction, or assembly experience preferred but not required.•Ability to read a tape measure is required.•Experience working with hand tools.•Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds individually.•Heavier materials are handled using team lifts, mechanical assists, or conveyors.•Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.•Repetitive hand and arm movements required.•Work boots or steel toes.Benefits once hired in!•Health insurance after 90 days.•Dental insurance.•Vision insurance.•Life insurance.•PTO.•Safety bonus and profit sharing - both pay quarterly.*This is a drug-free workplace.
