Saw Operator/Material HandlerThe Saw Operator/Material Handler primarily works in the machining area.

Responsibilities include machine operations, material movement and general equipment upkeep.In this role, you will:Load, set-up and operate the automatic feed CNC band sawInspect work with the use of gaugingPerform traceability marking and documentationRead production orders, gauges interpret blueprints and material specificationsBasic equipment maintenance, shop housekeeping, chip disposal, equipment, and tooling upkeepOperation of overhead crane and forkliftSort and place raw material and finished goods in specific locations, while maintaining system integrityPerform other basic manufacturing and shop duties as requiredRequired and Preferred Abilities:Minimum 1 year of maintenance, mechanicalRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, proceduresMechanically inclined with basic understanding of machinery and toolingExcellent communicationPerform basic mathSome computer knowledgeWork Environment and Physical Requirements:Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hearOperate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools and products up to 50 lbs.Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, vibrations and moving mechanical partsNoise level in the shop may be loudEducation:High school degree or equivalent, may be waived if you have two years of related experience and/or trainingThis is a high-level overview of the main job responsibilities; however, it is not meant to be an exhaustive list of duties.
