SAP S/4HANA ABAP DeveloperOur Public Utility Client is seeking a skilled SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer to support ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation, enhancement, integration, and optimization initiatives. This consultant will work closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical architects to design, develop, test, and support custom SAP solutions within the S/4HANA environment.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and enhancing SAP applications using ABAP, with exposure to modern SAP development frameworks, S/4HANA data models, Fiori integrations, and SAP best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy SAP ABAP solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments.Develop and enhance custom reports, interfaces, conversions, forms, enhancements, and workflows.Create technical specifications based on functional requirements and business needs.Develop and support integrations between SAP and external systems.Build and optimize ABAP programs for performance and scalability within S/4HANA.Support data migration, system testing, and deployment activities.Collaborate with functional consultants to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.Assist with production support activities, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.Participate in technical design sessions and provide recommendations for solution improvements.Document development objects, technical designs, and support procedures.Required Qualifications3+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.Experience developing within SAP S/4HANA environments.Strong experience with: ABAP ProgrammingReportsEnhancements (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework)InterfacesData ConversionsForms (Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAPScript)Object-Oriented ABAPExperience creating and consuming APIs, web services, and integrations.Experience troubleshooting and resolving SAP technical issues.Strong understanding of SAP development lifecycle and transport management.Ability to work directly with functional teams and business stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with: SAP FioriSAP UI5CDS ViewsOData ServicesSAP GatewayAMDPHANA SQLSAP BTP DevelopmentExperience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.Utility, energy, or regulated industry experience.Knowledge of SAP Finance, Procurement, Asset Management, Supply Chain, or Plant Maintenance modules.Experience with integration technologies and middleware platforms.Technical SkillsRequiredABAP DevelopmentObject-Oriented ABAPReports & InterfacesEnhancements & BAdIsData ConversionsSmartForms / Adobe FormsSAP S/4HANAPreferredCDS ViewsOData ServicesSAP Fiori/UI5SAP GatewaySAP BTPHANA SQLREST/SOAP ServicesRequired Work ArrangementOnsite in Irving, TX three days per week: MondayTuesdayThursdayRemote Wednesday and Friday.Must be available to work collaboratively with project and business teams during core business hours.EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferredPay rate: $70-$75hrDTI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
