Our clients are some of the world's leading companies and the candidate will be a part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs.Duties and Responsibilities: The SAP ABAP Developer will work with our Power and Utility client to understand their business requirements, and help design a solution, using their business process knowledge.
They will assist clients in the sustainment, implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Functionality. The goal is to effectively integrate new packaged technology into the client's business environment in order to achieve client expected business results. This position is expected to provide expert level business process guidance on SAP and facilitate SAP ABAP development and performance analysis for client.Other duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to:ABAP development of requested business solutions based on the technical designsPerform complex ABAP programming, testing and debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP modulesConduct defect analysis and perform necessary fixes and enhancementsCollaborate with functional owners, architects and other personnel to develop dynamic and flexible systems to meet the emerging demands of the marketAssist in unit testing of ABAP programsReview program codes and correct ABAP program errorsMaintain and update existing program codes as neededTroubleshoot production problems in a timely mannerProvide and own SAP application development support in assigned areasAnalyze, design, code and test break/fix requests and enhancements to SAP modulesDevelop technical system specifications for SAP componentsDesign SAP components to technical programming standardsClose communication with functional teams /designers, understand the requirements from provided functional designs and transform these requirements into the technical designsBuild professional relationships with clients, management and team members to ensure delivery of proposed solutions, support for development of business possibilities and for personal developmentContribute to high productivity and motivation of working team with the use of your communication skills and cooperation; reach and realize project aims and outputsRequirements Minimum Qualifications/Experience: Experience with power and utilities required Minimum 3-5 years of full lifecycle SAP implementations and AMS 5 years of SAP ABAP experience 2 years of hands-on experience in developing Integration scenarios using ESOA between SAP and Non-SAP Systems, associated configuration and code changes 3+ years ABAP Development and Performance Analysis Experience including testing, debugging and resolving issues to the implemented enhancements / conversions / reports related to SAP modules.
SAP Development Implementation experience on SAP modules such as IS-U Finance, billing, meter, device management, Controlling, Plant Maintenance. Knowledge of Interface and IDoc processes Object Oriented programming Report writing using ALV and ABAP lists SAPscripts and smart forms Dialogue programming BADIs/BAPIs User exits/enhancements BDCs WebDynpro LSMW Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree – Required Required Certifications: No required certifications. SAP, SAFe, CSM certifications desired.
Other: Must be US Citizen Willingness to be on-site daily This is a consultant W2 position to be considered for hire by client after 6 months
