Sanitation Program CoordinatorFlorida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America's first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table. This position is responsible for developing, managing and leading the Sanitation program to maintain overall cleanliness of the Distribution Center and compliance with FDA and SQF regulations.Detailed roles and responsibilities include:Develop, manage and lead the Master Sanitation (MS) program to ensure compliance with customer expectations, SQF requirements, and government regulationsConduct inspections and provide regular reports on MS program effectiveness and completion ratesImplement procedures and forms to support food quality and food safetyDevelop and implement work orders for all required sanitation and dust control tasksEnsure records are maintained and audit readyProvide analysis of program data to evaluate and optimize resource allocationCommunicate with customers and government inspectors and take the lead during audits and inspections of the sanitation areas and programsCoordinate activities for corrective action on all inspections and audits; follow-up to ensure completionMaintain the sanitation chemical control program including SDS documentationEvaluate and select appropriate chemicalsEvaluate and select appropriate equipment and supplies and manage third party outside cleaning contracts as neededDetermine the long range needs of the department develop plans and implement solutionsProvide training and orientation to all sanitation employees on safety, food safety and regulatory requirementsManage the sanitation budget with appropriate labor and resource allocation; manage supply inventory and costsEnsure employees are wearing the proper PPE and following all safety and quality guidelines and requirementsOther duties and projects as assignedWork experiences include at least 3 years of applicable professional experience working with facility-wide master sanitation systems. Preferred is at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a manufacturing environment. Preferred SQF, HACCP, and PCQI certification.

Experience with SQF and GFSI and regulatory audits and inspections. Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning practices and procedures. Preferred knowledge of SAP, work order creation.Education requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college/university is required OR a High School Diploma (or GED) and 4 years of equivalent work experience; an advanced degree in a related field of discipline from an accredited college university is preferred.Supervisory responsibility includes leading a group of hourly/ union sanitation workers. Training and development of direct reports. Setting challenging and productive goals for the team and holding them accountable. Coaching and guiding direct reports on performance issues. Conducting periodic meetings with direct reports to keep the team informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the business unit and company. Monitoring work productivity and recommend and implement changes to improve work productivity. Planning, scheduling, and assigning schedules in UKG-Kronos. Coordinating workflow and procedures to maximize service.
