Environmental Services Sanitation Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Environmental Services Sanitation Worker to join the facilities maintenance team in Brighton MI.
Pay Range: $18.00/hr - $19.00/hr
1st & 2nd Shift Openings Available:
  • 1st Shift: 7am or 8am - 3:30pm or 4:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: 4pm or 5pm - 12:30am or 1:30am
The Environmental Services Sanitation Worker will maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the medical facility. Your efforts will directly contribute to the overall hygiene and safety standards of the premises, ensuring a positive experience for employees, visitors, and patients alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in cleaning practices.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and sanitize restrooms, common areas, hallways, exam rooms, surgical rooms, and pharmacy rooms in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitization tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuum, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Clean all tools, supplies, and equipment after each use and store in their proper place.
  • Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely.
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper as needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Qualifications:
  • Sanitation or cleaning experience is not required, training can be provided
  • Proven janitorial, sanitation or custodial experience - is a PLUS
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and commercial cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
