Assembly Worker – Production Associate – Sanding/ BuffingLocation: Livonia, MI Shift: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm or 9:30am-6pm (Some OT including 10 hour shift/ and Saturdays possible. Notice is provided ahead of time.) Pay rate: $19/hr Temp to hire Requires wearing N95 mask, gloves, safety glasses for shift. All provided to you.Responsibilities:Review automotive lighting products to determine the materials and repair processes required.Select and prepare the appropriate tools and materials needed to complete each repair.Grind, sand, clean, buff, and polish automotive light lenses to restore products to an insurance-quality standard.Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are consistently met.Follow established production processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.Work closely with team members to identify opportunities to improve repair methods and production processes.Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.Follow all safety requirements with a strong focus on injury prevention.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:One year or more of warehouse, manufacturing, production, or factory experience.High school diploma, GED, or equivalent practical experience.Previous grinding, sanding, buffing, or polishing experience is a plus but not required.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Dependable, responsive, and team-oriented.Ability and willingness to learn new processes and techniques.Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.Ability to concentrate and maintain focus for extended periods.Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy.Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8–10 hours per shift.Must be able to lift and move totes weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to frequently bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head.Ability to maintain manual dexterity for production tasks and occasional computer/keyboard use.Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperatures.Ability to access all areas of the facility without limitations.
