Salesforce Solution Architect

This is a contract to hire role-“Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization. Employer will not sponsor visas now or in the future.”

URGENT – SALESFORCE SOLUTION ARCHITECT

Location: NYC

Rate: starting at $100hr

• 10+ years of Solution Architecture experience , with a strong Salesforce focus
• Approximately 10 years of Salesforce platform experience
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are a MUST
• Must be hands‑on enough to demonstrate new Salesforce features/technologies to junior developers
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring ability
• Must be able to effectively work with both technical and business stakeholders

Candidate must have at least 2 of the following:

• Salesforce Platform Developer I OR II
• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
• Initial contract period with potential conversion to FTE
• Manager plans to evaluate around 6 months for conversion
• First 2 weeks onsite -NYC
• Then primarily remote
• Approximately 1 onsite visit per month

A senior Salesforce Solution Architect with deep enterprise Salesforce architecture experience who can lead architecture, communicate exceptionally well, mentor developers, and remain hands‑on enough to demonstrate new Salesforce capabilities.

The Senior Salesforce Solution Architect is responsible for designing, delivering, and governing Salesforce solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, high-performing, and maintainable across the Salesforce platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions across Energy & Utility Cloud, Experience Cloud, and integrated enterprise platforms.
• Define solution architecture, data models, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure designs align with Salesforce best practices and enterprise architecture standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with business analysts, product owners, project managers, and business leaders to understand requirements and define solution approaches.
• Translate business needs into clear technical designs and implementation plans.

Integration and Technical Leadership

• Lead architecture for integrations between Salesforce and external systems, including APIs, middleware, and data platforms.
• Provide technical guidance on Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, Flow, and platform design patterns.
• Support development teams through design reviews, code reviews, and architecture governance.

Platform Governance

• Establish and maintain standards for design, development, security, release management, and environment strategy.
• Evaluate Salesforce products, AppExchange solutions, and third‑party tools against business and architectural requirements.

Security, Performance, and Scalability

• Design role‑based access, sharing models, and data protection controls.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, and compliance expectations.

Documentation and Mentoring

• Maintain architecture documentation, solution diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Mentor developers, administrators, and junior architects on Salesforce best practices.

Delivery Support

• Contribute to planning, estimation, risk assessment, and major design decisions across the delivery lifecycle.
• Support solution delivery from requirements through deployment and post‑go‑live stabilization.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, Flows, REST/SOAP APIs.

Integration patterns: middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica), ETL tools, web services.

Data modeling, architecture design, and governance principles .

Experience with CI/CD, version control, and release management.

Knowledge of Salesforce best practices , security, compliance, and performance optimization.
