Salesforce Product Owner / Project Manager
We are seeking a seasoned Salesforce Product Owner / Project Manager to lead a fast-paced project involving a recently launched Salesforce application for claims inventory management. The ideal candidate will act as a champion for the business, capable of driving product strategy, gathering requirements from senior leadership, and translating business needs to technical teams. This role requires a professional who can operate independently in a dynamic environment, as there is no time for on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product strategy, roadmap, and priorities aligned to business objectives.
- Lead requirement gathering sessions with senior stakeholders, executive directors, VPs, and end-users.
- Translate business needs into Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value and assign story points in collaboration with engineering.
- Document processes and translate business requirements for architects and engineering teams.
- Act as the voice of the business, helping to formulate solutions and create necessary reports and dashboards.
- Partner with business, technology, and operations stakeholders to drive requirements, delivery, and adoption.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release planning, change management, and user enablement activities.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner and/or Product Manager delivering enterprise applications.
- Proven experience owning product vision, roadmap, and backlog prioritization in Agile/SAFe environments.
- Hands-on Salesforce experience, with an understanding of administrative functions like setting up users and profiles.
- Experience gathering requirements for Salesforce applications, APIs, integrations, and microservices.
- Healthcare payer experience supporting Commercial, Medicare, and/or Medicaid business processes, including claims or case management.
Technical Skills:
- Strong Salesforce Health Cloud experience is required.
- Working knowledge of API-based integrations, microservices, and enterprise architecture patterns.
- Understanding of workflow automation, business rules, and case management solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, developers, and integration teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- An active Salesforce Administrator certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with claims workflows, inventory management, or workflow orchestration.
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.
- Salesforce Data Cloud experience.
- Other Salesforce certifications (Business Analyst, Health Cloud, or related).
