Job Overview

We are seeking a Salesforce Developer to help develop and support technology solutions within a clinical laboratory environment. This position will work across Salesforce, laboratory information systems, middleware, diagnostic instruments, and other healthcare applications to improve connectivity, automation, data flow, and operational reliability.


The ideal candidate is comfortable working at the intersection of software development, systems integration, and healthcare technology and can take ownership of both new development and production support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, test, and maintain applications and technology solutions supporting laboratory and healthcare operations.
  • Build and maintain interfaces connecting laboratory instruments, LIS/LIMS platforms, Salesforce, EHRs, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop integrations using technologies such as HL7, ASTM, REST APIs, web services, and other interface protocols.
  • Create automation, scripts, reports, database solutions, and other tools that improve workflow efficiency, system reliability, and data quality.
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, database, and workflow issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Participate in implementations, system upgrades, releases, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
  • Work closely with laboratory operations, IT, business users, vendors, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.



Required Background

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, healthcare IT, laboratory technology, Salesforce development, or a related integration-focused role.
  • Hands-on development experience with one or more technologies such as Salesforce, Apex, Lightning Web Components, C#, .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, or PowerShell.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, maintaining, or troubleshooting system integrations.
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience, including querying, troubleshooting, and working with structured data.
  • Experience working with APIs, web services, or other application integration technologies.


Additional experience with HL7, ASTM, TCP/IP, REST APIs, or healthcare integration standards is strongly preferred.


Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent professional experience and technical expertise may be considered in place of a degree.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications
  • Healthcare IT or laboratory technology certifications
  • Experience working with Salesforce in a healthcare environment
  • Experience supporting highly integrated, business-critical applications
  • Experience working in regulated or quality-controlled environments
  • Understanding of laboratory instrument-to-system interfaces and clinical data workflows
