The Massachusetts Department of Transportation currently uses Salesforce to build applications for various MassDOT divisions. We are looking to expand the power of Salesforce and develop new apps for our business units at MassDOT.

You will be challenged by a wide variety of projects including legacy database transformation, new custom apps, and more.We are seeking someone with excellent technical and communication skills who can interface directly with internal stakeholders, understand their needs, and configure and customize the platform to meet new/changing business requirements. This position will be responsible for ensuring that we are maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on all the features and benefits of the system based on various business needs. This position will promote adoption, keep current on new releases and AppExchange solutions, and act as the primary contact and a subject matter expert on complex and/or critical system issues and processes for MassDOT’ s Salesforce environment.Who You Are:Solutions OrientedInnovativeCritical ThinkerIndependentExcellent CommunicatorTechnically DiverseQualifications:5+ years of experience building on Salesforce platformHands-on experience defining system architecture, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomesFunctional knowledge of data integration tools and data flowExperience or knowledge integrating Salesforce with different business systems and APIsHands on experience in developing and configuring reports, custom reports, report folders, report extractions, dashboards for different user profiles based on requirementsExperience with standard Salesforce reporting and dashboardsStrong understanding of Salesforce configuration capabilities and the ability to recommend best practices and identify areas where custom development is requiredExperience authoring requirements, definition, design, and other related project and system documentationAble to run Backlog grooming sessions and training for business usersStrong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologiesExperience on development in creating Objects, Triggers, Apex Classes, Visual Force pages, Standard Controllers, Custom Controllers and Controller ExtensionsDesigned junction objects and implemented various advanced fields like Pick list, Custom Formula Fields, Field Dependencies, Validation Rules, Workflows, sharing rules and Approval Processes for automated alerts, field updates, and Email generation as per requirementsExperience in customizing the User Interface of Salesforce CRM using Apex Programming, Custom Controllers, Visual Force, CSS and JavaScriptExperience with security and Sharing rules implementation at object, field, and record level for different levels of organization and also SSO set upActive Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hireExperience with Agile methodologies and running projects on AgileResponsibilities:Serve as primary System Administrator for the Salesforce environmentsHandle all administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasksRespond to end user issues, enhancement requests and other administrative needsCoordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requestsManage the integration of applications connected to SalesforceWork independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements.
