Position Title: Sales Strategy Manager – Suave Hair Care

Reports To: Director, Sales Strategy

About the Role

The Sales Strategy Manager is responsible for helping develop and execute the overall Sales Strategy that enables the Suave Brands Company to win with customers. They will be responsible for working the Director of Sales Strategy to build the company’s trade spending program to support sales assortment, pricing, shelving and promotional objectives. The Sales Strategy Manager will work with Marketing to and Sales to determine the appropriate trade marketing budget and how to allocate to customers. Sales Strategy will own the sales forecast, national selling deck, new item deck, sell sheets, price lists, and assist in other major customer initiatives. This role serves as the critical liaison between the customers/field sales force and the internal departments. The Sales Strategy Manager will ensure that the voice of the customer is reflected in the business plan and the field sales force is appropriately tasked with the right objectives. They will represent sales in all forecasting, innovation and business plan development processes. This role includes sales communication, presentation development and the creation/execution of all sales meetings. The Sales Strategy Manager will promote effective customer relationships, partner with key individuals at all levels within the customer organizations, gain a full understanding of the customer’s needs, and anticipate changes to further establish Suave as the category leader in the eyes of the customer.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Positive and energetic leader with a strong sense of urgency to win
  • Understand each of the brand and marketing strategies, drives these messages to all customer facing teams, and instructs teams on how to best deliver for their customers
  • Drives communication to the sales team and represents the single point of contact for messaging, escalated issues, and prioritization of initiatives and funds
  • Support development of overall sales strategy to become best-in-class among competitors, and help lead prioritization and resource allocation in collaboration with cross functional team members to achieve growth targets
  • Creation of the omnichannel sales strategy including pricing management and adherence to trade policies.
  • Development of all trade spending programs and the monitoring of the efficiency and effectiveness of that spending.
  • Ability to attend customer calls
  • Manage display development and budget allocation
  • Manage Item Allocation and Communication

Professional Experience

  • Exceptional cross functional collaboration experience
  • Strong acumen in the Hair Care category
  • Multi-channel customer experience with a focus on Mass, Dollar, Grocery and eCommerce
  • Previous Sales Strategy experience within trade management, analytics, business development or category management
  • Capability to influence decision makers at customers and within Suave
  • Experience and/or desire to inspire, motivate and hold a team accountable
  • Strategic thinker; creative problem solver with proven ability to turn strategy into action

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $150,000 per year. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
