Be part of a team that invests in your future, celebrates your success, and values your contribution.Why Work With Us?Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance, and 401(k) with company match.Work-Life Balance: Generous paid time off for rest, family, and self-care.Career Growth: You'll benefit from continuous learning, mentorship, and leadership training including access to CBX University, our in-house development program.Supportive Culture: Innovation, creativity, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.The Sales EngineerThe Sales Engineer is the primary technical and security engineering resource for the sales team.Essential FunctionsPreparation of timely and accurate engineered solutions for a variety of integrated security solutions; including: access control, CCTV/IP video surveillance, intrusion detection, identity management, electronic locking hardware, biometrics and associated infrastructureGeneration of technical Scopes of Work (SOW) and detailed design narratives for engineered solutions and associated cost estimates up to and over $250kManage engineering and estimation process to include interfacing with multiple representatives of sales, marketing, management, vendor and customer teamsResponsible for engineering and the associated cost estimate for mid-level, large and complex integrated security projectsAnalyze blueprints, construction drawings and technical/functional design specifications to prepare compliant engineered solutions and associated cost estimatesPerform needs analysis meetings and job site walks with customers and the sales teamResearch emerging technologies in physical security market and train sales staff on new offerings/solutionsDevelop engineered solutions that map customer business requirements to security technology solutionsTechnical advisor and product advocate during the sales/engineering processInterface with product and distribution partners to obtain systems, device and equipment pricing during engineering processSupport the sales team by participating in technical discussions and meetings with customers and product partnersSupport the sales team in activities and technical presentations in front of prospects and customersMaintain quality assurance by following organization standardsOrganize solution reviews and internal technical meetingsDaily verbal and written communication with the sales teamOther relative duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education/experienceCurrent and valid US driver's licenseAt least 3+ years in a pre-sales support/estimating position with access control and CCTV/IP video surveillance, or hands-on physical security industry experienceMust pass pre-employment background check and drug testKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSome CAD and/or Visio experience preferredBasic understanding of server, storage and networking architecturesIndustry certificationsThe ability to work in a dynamic team environment with expanding customer baseExcellent time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skillsAbility to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approachesAbility to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervisionAbility to manage deadlines and have excellent follow-up skills in order to drive tasks to completionMust be professional and polished in appearance and be comfortable speaking to small groups of managers and technical and/or facility personnelPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
