Sales Engineer-ElectricalSalary: $ - $ per yearLocation: Richmond, VirginiaMinimum Degree: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical fieldRelocation Assistance: AvailableJob DescriptionSales Leader / Sales EngineerJob Summary: The Technical Training and Sales Engineer promotes the successful application of industrial electrical products with an emphasis on terminal block and connection technologies. The primary mission of this role is to train and educate employees, distributors, and customers through high-quality technical training programs while also supporting sales growth.

The role partners closely with customers, distributors, and sales representatives to expand market opportunities and strengthen product adoption.Position Responsibilities:Provide training and technical support to the sales team and distribution partners to ensure effective promotion and support of product linesTravel to customer and distributor locations to conduct on-site or remote training programsWork closely with product management to stay current on new product development and integrate new products into training programsProvide feedback from customers and the field to product management teamsMonitor industry trends, competitive products, and market developments through internal resources, trade shows, and industry eventsMaintain and update training programs and evaluate their effectivenessResearch and implement new methods for delivering technical trainingDevelop and implement market plans to expand into new industries, applications, and customer segmentsDevelop product pricing and positioning strategiesSupport sales teams with technical and commercial informationCollaborate on marketing communications including product promotions, technical literature, and other materialsRepresent the organization at trade shows and customer visits to support sales and develop new businessIdentify and communicate market and customer requirements to internal teamsDevelop product training programs and ensure strong product knowledge within the sales team and partnersProvide recommendations to leadership to improve capabilities and address industry needsComplete additional tasks and projects as assignedSkills & Competencies:Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsPhysical & Travel Requirements:Valid drivers license requiredAbility to operate a vehicle for extended periodsAbility to travel domestically and internationally by airOvernight travel approximately 35-50%Frequent communication via phone, video, and electronic systemsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs (samples, demos, or materials)Qualifications:Education & Experience Requirements:Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical fieldMinimum 5+ years of relevant work experienceExperience in automation, robotics, and/or industrial controls preferredStrong communication and presentation skillsSolid technical background or technical aptitudeStrong follow-up, coordination, tracking, planning, and analytical skillsStrategic thinking and commitment to continuous learningProven ability to manage projects and communicate recommendations to leadershipBasic marketing or product management experience preferredExperience with sales planning, inventory control, or financial strategy is a plusWhy is This a Great Opportunity:Who We Are | Our Culture: We are a growing organization focused on the import and distribution of industrial electrical components across North America.
