Description
Help grow an early-stage business by identifying prospective customers, generating qualified sales opportunities, and scheduling discovery meetings. The ideal candidate enjoys prospecting, starting conversations, and refining outreach in a developing business environment.
Key responsibilities
- Research prospective clients, decision-makers, and relevant business use cases.
- Build and maintain targeted prospect lists.
- Conduct outbound outreach by phone, personalized email, and LinkedIn.
- Qualify customer needs, potential task volume, timelines, and fit.
- Schedule qualified discovery meetings and provide clear handoff notes.
- Maintain accurate prospect and activity records in Salesforce or a similar CRM.
- Track outreach and meeting goals, share prospect feedback, and help refine messaging and targeting.
Skills and qualifications
- 2–4+ years of experience in sales development, outbound sales, business development, or a related client-facing role.
- Experience with prospect research, lead-list building, and cold outreach.
- Strong communication, organization, persistence, and follow-through.
- Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM and Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
- Comfortable working in an early-stage environment where processes and sales materials may evolve.
- AI fluency or eagerness to use AI tools effectively while applying sound human judgment.
- B2B services, logistics, field operations, or technology prospecting experience is a plus.
