Working at Freudenberg: We Will Wow Your World!Responsibilities:Engage the customer at the pre-design and design phase to provide value, design input, and insight for new developments.This role is focused on the dynamic and expanding Battery and Power Electronics market segments.Relate FNST business or product plans to customer as neededProvide market information as provided via benchmarkingAs supplier representative create connections with pertinent FNST contacts at laboratory or plant for design, manufacturing feasibility, quality or materials concernsMake recommendations for quality improvements from analysis of warranty parts and dataReport results of field investigations and assembly teardownsWork with associated FNST and customer organizations (materials engineering; tribology and lubrication; CAE; program management; etc.)Maintenance of open issues listAssist in formal problem resolution with FNST plant quality personnelParticipate in cost-reduction initiatives and VA/VEPrompt reporting and follow-up of corrective actions to quality problems with Freudenberg-NOK productProvide catalyst to ensure correctness and timeliness of customer responses by eliminating communication roadblocks within capabilities of FNGP and customerInsure timely response and liaison to customer requests including:All other duties as required and domestic travel at 20-30% + potential.Qualifications:B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing or equivalent)Strong interpersonal skills and "hunter" mentalityAbility to travel to FNST production sites and customers as requiredAggressive self-starter with strong organization skills and attention to details requiring minimal supervision3-5 years application engineering experience or similarStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-taskHands-on mechanical aptitudeProject management experience a plusThe Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
