Sales and Leadership Trainee

Job Description

Cowan Supply, a trade name of Hajoca Corporation, is looking for a Sales & Leadership Trainee at its Norcross, GA location.

About the Program: The Sales & Leadership Development program is a multi‑year rotational program designed to expose trainees to all aspects of our business. After completion, trainees may pursue a long‑term career in sales, operations management, profit center management, or other suitable paths.

Phases & Learning Objectives

• Phase 1: Business operations – receiving, shipping, returns, deliveries, truck maintenance. Includes vendor product knowledge sessions and online courses.
• Phase 2: Counter sales – assisting customers, processing orders, product information, display maintenance; vendor sessions; interaction with residential, commercial, and remodel contractors.
• Phase 3: Sales – pricing, margin management, bids, quotes, submittals, procurement, scheduling; vendor relationships; joint sales calls.
• Phase 4: Career discussion with Profit Center Manager to identify desired business path.

About You

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in customer service, sales, management, or leadership roles.
• Legal to drive company business: at least 18 years old, valid driver’s license, good driving record.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Team player with ability to inspire collaboration.
• Excellent listening, persuasion, and adaptive mindset.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Tech proficiency – Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Understanding of warehouse material‑handling equipment operation.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• English reading, writing, speaking.
