Creative Modular Construction (CMC) is looking for an experienced, hands-on Safety Manager to lead our Health, Safety & Environmental initiatives across a fast-paced modular construction manufacturing environment.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who is passionate about building a strong safety culture, reducing risk, developing people, and driving accountability . You'll partner closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Leadership to create safer processes and continuously improve how we work.
What You'll Do- Lead the Safety Department, priorities, programs, and performance metrics across nine facilities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections, documentation, and corrective actions
- Lead accident, injury, near-miss, and root-cause investigations
- Develop and maintain safety programs, SOPs, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Manage OSHA recordkeeping, workers' compensation, incident reporting, and safety metrics
- Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual safety training
- Oversee new-hire safety orientation and weekly toolbox talks
- Manage programs including LOTO, PPE, HazCom, Machine Guarding, Fall Protection, Forklift Safety, Hearing Conservation, and Emergency Response
- Address hazards involving welding, fabrication, electrical work, material handling, cranes, and heavy equipment
- Lead Safety Committee meetings and strengthen employee safety engagement
- Manage environmental compliance and support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and 5S
- Provide leadership with clear, concise safety updates, trends, and recommendations
- Identify safety gaps proactively and take total ownership of solutions and results
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; significant relevant experience may substitute for a degree
- 3-5+ years of progressive safety experience in manufacturing, industrial, or modular construction
- Strong knowledge of OSHA compliance and workplace safety practices
- Experience with incident investigations and corrective action
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems
- Valid driver's license and successful reference check
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Experience leading a safety department or direct reports
- OSHA 500 Train-the-Trainer
- CSP or ASP designation
- ISO 45001 awareness
- DOT regulatory experience
- Experience with safety management software and JHA/SOP development
