Project Scope

The Safety Manager will provide on‑site safety oversight for an electrical subcontractor supporting a large‑scale data center construction project. This role is responsible for ensuring all electrical work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, site‑specific safety plans, and client safety standards.

The position will work closely with field supervision, project management, and other safety professionals to identify hazards, conduct inspections, and enforce corrective actions. A strong presence in the field is required to proactively manage electrical safety risks and support a culture of safety across the project.

This is a long‑term, two‑year assignment offering stability and consistent hours on a high‑profile data center build.

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • 5+ years of electrical safety experience
  • Experience supporting large construction or industrial projects

  • Ability to work on site in San Jose, CA
  • Availability for the full project duration
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily safety oversight for electrical subcontractor activities
  • Conduct job site safety inspections and hazard assessments
  • Enforce OSHA standards and site‑specific safety policies
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations
  • Investigate incidents and near misses and document findings
  • Collaborate with project leadership to implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate safety records and reports
