Salary: 90,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD
Interstate Mechanical LLC
At IMCOR, we don't view safety as compliance—we view it as leadership, culture, and operational excellence .
We are seeking a high-impact Safety Manager who is ready to own, shape, and elevate safety across one of Arizona's premier mechanical contractors. This is not a maintenance role—this is a build, influence, and lead opportunity.
If you are a field-respected leader who can drive accountability, influence operations, and use data to create real change—we want to talk to you.
Why This Role is Different
* You will partner directly with executive leadership to shape safety strategy
* You will have the authority to drive accountability across all levels
* You will be expected to build a modern, data-driven safety program
* You will spend time where it matters— in the field, with the crews
* You will influence both jobsite safety and fleet/driver performance
What You'll OwnLead & Elevate Safety Culture
* Build a culture where safety is owned by operations—not outsourced to safety
* Establish clear expectations and hold leaders accountable
* Influence Superintendents, Foremen, and field teams through presence and credibility
Drive Field Performance
* Maintain a strong field presence (~70%)
* Identify risks in real time and correct behaviors before incidents occur
* Partner with operations to integrate safety into daily execution—not afterthoughts
Use Data to Lead, Not Report
* Leverage tools (including platforms like Samsara) to identify trends and drive action
* Develop and track meaningful KPIs that actually influence behavior
* Turn data into clear, enforceable accountability standards
Own Incident Response & Prevention
* Lead investigations that go beyond paperwork— get to true root cause
* Implement corrective actions that actually prevent recurrence
* Set the standard for urgency, accuracy, and follow-through
Build People & Capability
* Develop field leaders to take ownership of safety
* Deliver training that is practical, relevant, and respected in the field
* Mentor and strengthen the safety function for long‑term success
What We're Looking For Must-Have
* 7+ years of safety leadership in construction (mechanical preferred)
* Strong OSHA knowledge and real-world application
* Proven ability to influence operations and drive accountability
* A reputation as someone the field respects—not avoids
* Experience using data to improve performance—not just track it
Standout Candidates Will Have
* CHST, CSP, or similar certification
* Experience with driver/fleet safety programs
* Background in HVAC, plumbing, or industrial construction
* A track record of changing culture—not just managing compliance
* Competitive salary (DOE)
* Company vehicle
* 401(k) with company match
* PTO + Paid Holidays
