The role ensures the safety of operations, supports workers' compensation processes, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations to enhance overall safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and lead all safety initiatives across operations.
* Manage workers' compensation claims, from investigation to resolution.
* Conduct site visits, audits, and risk assessments for high-risk activities.
* Respond to incidents, including hospital visits and coordination with medical providers.
* Perform case management for injured employees, ensuring a safe return-to-work process.
* Develop and enforce safety policies tailored to high-risk environments.
* Collaborate with operations leadership to identify hazards and improve safety performance.
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience in safety management within heavy construction, operations, or similar industries.
* Background in handling workers' compensation claims and case management.
* Ability to respond effectively to incidents and maintain composure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, OSHA).
