Opportunity Overview
Sheakley is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a large-scale data center construction project in Haskell, Texas.
This is a highly visible, field-focused position with a strong emphasis on electrical construction safety . The Safety Manager will partner with project leadership, contractors, subcontractors, and craft personnel to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements.
The ideal candidate is a proactive safety professional who is comfortable maintaining a consistent field presence, addressing unsafe conditions in real time, and supporting a fast-paced project with multiple active construction operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily safety oversight across the active data center construction site
- Monitor electrical construction activities for compliance with applicable safety standards
- Conduct routine field inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments
- Identify unsafe conditions and implement timely corrective actions
- Lead site orientations, toolbox talks, pre-task discussions, and safety training
- Review work activities for compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific requirements
- Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and track corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with project management, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve safety concerns
- Reinforce accountability and promote a strong, prevention-focused safety culture
Required Qualifications
- Current OSHA 30 certification
- Minimum five years of construction safety experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting electrical construction activities
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and jobsite safety practices
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Strong incident investigation, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with project leadership and field personnel
- Comfortable working approximately 60 hours per week on an active construction site
- Available to begin the assignment as soon as possible
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting large-scale data center, mission-critical, commercial electrical, or similarly complex construction projects is strongly preferred.
