The Safety Manager leads and administers project safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This role may support a single large project, multiple projects, or a defined operational area and typically reports to a Regional Safety Leader.
As a subject matter expert, this role provides autonomous technical safety guidance to project leadership while supporting broader organizational safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety audits and provide corrective guidance
- Communicate effectively with project teams and field leadership
- Prepare safety reports, lead briefings, and address site safety concerns
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and client safety requirements
- Oversee safety training, documentation, and record‑keeping
- Develop and implement site‑specific safety plans
- Support project start‑ups, look‑ahead reviews, and emergency planning
- Serve as an advisor to management and client representatives
Qualifications
- Professional safety certification CHST, STSC, ASP, CCM,CIH, CSP, SMS, SMP, OHST, GSP
- 7+ years of construction safety experience in construction required, Data Center highly preferred
