Job Overview
The Safety Manager leads and oversees project safety programs to ensure a safe, compliant work environment. This role may support a single large project, multiple projects, or a defined operational area and typically reports to a Regional Safety Leader.
As a subject matter expert, the Safety Manager provides independent technical safety guidance to project leadership while supporting broader organizational safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct daily safety audits and provide corrective recommendations
* Communicate effectively with project teams and field leadership
* Prepare safety reports, lead safety meetings, and address site concerns
* Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and client safety requirements
* Oversee safety training, documentation, and record-keeping
* Develop and implement site-specific safety plans
* Support project start-ups, look-ahead planning, and emergency preparedness
* Serve as a trusted advisor to management and client representatives
